Passwords in our digital age

Step away from your screen and keyboard for a moment, take a clean sheet of paper and jot down all the online domains you use that require a password. Now, next to each domain, write down your user name followed by the password. If you're like many of us, you may have a hard time remembering either one or both. In situations where you need to quickly enter your username and/or password, you're likely to feel more anxious about getting the right combination.

You're not alone. Our personal technology is dangerously synonymous with public or open technology in our digital world. Passwords are the lynchpins to cyber crimes.
